We drove up to Heber, AZ to the family cabin/ranch to relax before Sterling starts school and for the Labor Day weekend. We left Thursday morning, stopped to get a haircut in Gilbert, had lunch, and then we were on our way.
My grandparents live up there in the summer, so they were there and my cousin and his little family joined up with us that night. The weather was perfect, Taylor LOVED being outside, and seeing family was so fun! My grandpa usually has a project going and this time was no exception. He's trying to put together a "swing merry-go-round" for the kids. This kind of project use to be a breeze when he wasn't so old, but this project is having a lot of challenges. My cousin Mike, and Sterling helped all day Friday and Saturday and it's still in the works.
We got home Sunday night so we could spend Monday together and relax before a new week hits us. On the way home, we stopped by the Scottsdale Vanguard Office. Sterling worked for Vanguard in PA, so we wanted to see the office in Scottsdale. It was so fun to see that office and feel like we were in PA again.
Today is September 1st. Sterling graduates May 1st. 9 more months! We can do it!!!
