Taylor's new play area

We live on the second floor. Our apartment always faces the sun (except early mornings and at dusk). There is a small gap between the bottom of the railing and the floor. Taylor LOVES to go out on the deck but it freaks us out that he'll fall. So, to fix the sun problem, we put up a sun shade. To fix the gap problem, we put up some plastic chicken wire stuff. Taylor LOVES IT! Today, the weather has been perfect so we've just kept the door open and he goes in and out. We've also caught him walking without us watching. We don't make a big deal about it and just let him do it, and he's doing great at it!
