We have a Delta credit and instead of letting it go to waste, we are considering flying back East for our internship.
Advantages:
Won't be in the car for 5-6 days
We just have to contain Taylor for 4 hours on a plane
Easier on our car :-)
We save money by having our car shipped
We will get to spend an extra day or so in NY
We will get to stay longer in Utah
won't stress about our car breaking down
we found one way tickets from Utah to JFK for $125 so all 3 of us can get a seat!
(we will drive to Utah to see our families so our car will be picked up there and shipped to NY...yes, we're moving to PA, but visiting NY before going to PA)
Disadvantages:
We have to find someone to come get us from the airport in our car
as you can see, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. What do you think?

Definitely fly! Taylor will surprise you and do fine on the plane. Here's a tip though--sit him next to the window seat so he doesn't see that there is an aisle to play in!
