Customize Title of Blog

If anyone knows how I could customize the area where the title of our blog is, I would love it! There are a lot of blogs out there that are very original and I would love to learn how to do it. If you have suggestions, pleast let me know! Thank you!

Yes, I actually have a friend who could do it for you. She did mine. Go to my blog, then click on Scripps family. Look on the right hand side of her blog where it says Blog Header, and click. You can see some of the others she has done. If you want her to do it just email her, tell her you know me:-)
